Anderson School District One (Powdersville, Wren, & Williamston)
Often ranked as the #1 school district in Anderson County, District One is the second largest in the county and serves over 11,000 students.
Core Communities: Serves Powdersville, Wren (Piedmont), and Williamston.
Performance: Boasts a 94% average graduation rate and traditionally scores in the top 10% of districts statewide.
Top Schools: Wren High, Powdersville High, and Palmetto High are the anchor high schools.
2026 Focus: Managing rapid population growth while maintaining an "Excellent" state report card rating.
Anderson School District Two (Belton & Honea Path)
District Two is known for its small-town feel and "Engage, Educate, Empower" mission.
Core Communities: Serves the Belton and Honea Path areas.
Anchor School: Belton-Honea Path High (BHP), recently recognized as a "School of Excellence".
2026 Focus: Implementing facility audits to modernize middle schools through the "Building for 2morrow" community initiative.

Anderson School District Three (Iva & Starr)

Anderson School District Four (Pendleton & Townville)
Located on the Clemson side of the county, District Four is experiencing unprecedented growth and is currently ranked among the top districts for student performance.
Core Communities: Serves Pendleton, Townville, and La France.
Anchor School: Pendleton High School.
2026 Focus: A massive 10-year facility plan includes building a new Pendleton High campus on Boscobel Road to increase capacity to 1,500 students.
Performance: District 4 was recently ranked the 5th best district in South Carolina by SchoolDigger based on test scores.
Anderson School District Five (City of Anderson)
District Five is the urban and suburban heart of the county, offering the most extensive School Choice program.
Core Communities: Serves the City of Anderson and close-in suburbs.
Anchor Schools: T.L. Hanna High and Westside High.
2026 Focus: The School Choice window for the 2026–2027 year closes on February 27, 2026, with a lottery held in late March for high-demand schools like Midway Elementary.
